We accept payment by check, cash, credit card, and electronic payment. For recurring service plans, we offer automated billing for convenience. Payment terms are outlined in your service agreement.
Lawn Care
Q:How often should my lawn be mowed?
During South Florida's primary growing season (April–October), most lawns benefit from weekly mowing to maintain ideal height and appearance. During the slower growth months (November–March), bi-weekly mowing is often sufficient. We'll assess your specific grass type and growth rate to recommend the right frequency for your property.
Q:What grass types do you service?
We work with all grass types common to South Florida, including St. Augustine (Floratam, Palmetto, Seville), Zoysia (Empire, Zeon, Palisades), Bahia, and Bermuda. Each grass type has different mowing height requirements, fertilization schedules, and pest/disease vulnerabilities that our team is trained to address.
Q:Do you handle fertilization and weed control?
Yes. Our comprehensive lawn care programs include customized fertilization schedules (compliant with Florida's BMP regulations and local fertilizer blackout periods), pre-emergent weed prevention, and post-emergent weed control. We select products appropriate for your specific grass type to prevent herbicide damage.
Q:Can you treat chinch bugs and other lawn pests?
Absolutely. We identify and treat common South Florida lawn pests including chinch bugs, sod webworms, mole crickets, armyworms, and billbugs. Early detection and targeted treatment are key — which is why our crews actively monitor for pest activity during every service visit.
Q:My lawn has brown patches. What could cause this?
Brown patches in South Florida lawns can result from several causes: chinch bug damage (most common in sunny areas), fungal diseases like gray leaf spot or dollar spot, irrigation coverage gaps, soil compaction, or improper mowing height. We can diagnose the cause during a property assessment and recommend the appropriate treatment.
Q:Do you handle irrigation system maintenance?
We provide irrigation system assessment and basic adjustment services as part of our lawn care programs. If your system requires major repairs or installation work, we can recommend qualified irrigation specialists in your area.
Landscaping
Q:What landscaping services do you offer?
Our landscaping services include landscape design consultation, plant installation, mulching, trimming and pruning of shrubs and ornamental plants, sod installation, garden bed creation and maintenance, and tropical garden design. We work with Florida-friendly, drought-tolerant plants well-suited to South Florida's conditions.
Q:Can you create a low-maintenance landscape for my property?
Absolutely. We specialize in designing landscapes that are beautiful and low-maintenance using Florida-native and drought-tolerant plants. These landscapes typically require less irrigation, fewer pesticide applications, and reduced trimming frequency — which saves you money long-term while supporting local ecosystems.
Q:How do you select plants for South Florida landscapes?
Plant selection for South Florida requires considering heat tolerance, salt tolerance (especially near the coast), drought resistance, soil compatibility, and sun/shade requirements. We only recommend plants that are proven performers in Broward County's specific conditions — not plants that look beautiful in a catalog but struggle in our climate.
Q:Do you install sod?
Yes. We handle complete sod installation projects, including soil preparation, grading, installation, and initial establishment guidance. We work with St. Augustine, Zoysia, Bahia, and other appropriate grass varieties for your specific site conditions.
Q:How long does a landscaping project take?
Project timelines vary significantly by scope. A garden bed renovation might take one day; a complete landscape redesign could take several days to a week. We provide detailed project timelines as part of every landscape quote so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.
Pressure Cleaning
Q:What surfaces do you pressure clean?
We pressure clean driveways, sidewalks, patios, pool decks, exterior walls, fences, roofs, pavers, and most exterior hard surfaces. Different surfaces require different pressure settings and techniques — we adjust our equipment accordingly to clean effectively without causing damage.
Q:How often should I pressure clean my home's exterior?
In South Florida's humid climate, we recommend annual pressure cleaning for most exterior surfaces. Broward County's combination of humidity, heat, and frequent rain creates ideal conditions for mold, mildew, algae, and organic staining to accumulate quickly. High-traffic surfaces like driveways may benefit from more frequent cleaning.
Q:Will pressure cleaning damage my roof?
High-pressure cleaning on roofs can damage shingles and tiles. For roof cleaning, we use a low-pressure "soft wash" approach that combines appropriate cleaning solutions with gentle water pressure to safely remove algae, lichen, and organic growth without risking damage to roofing materials.
Q:Can pressure cleaning remove oil stains from my driveway?
Yes, though results depend on how old and how deep the oil penetration is. We use degreasing solutions combined with hot or high-pressure water to break down oil-based stains. Fresh oil stains are significantly easier to remove than stains that have cured for years. We'll give you an honest assessment of expected results before we begin.
Q:How long does a pressure cleaning service take?
Service time depends on the scope. A standard residential driveway takes 1–2 hours. A complete exterior home cleaning (walls, walkways, driveway) typically takes 3–5 hours for an average-sized South Florida home. We'll provide a realistic time estimate as part of your quote.
Painting
Q:What painting services do you offer?
We provide interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties throughout South Florida. Services include full exterior repaints, accent painting, interior room painting, trim and door painting, and garage floor coatings. We use premium paints formulated for Florida's climate — not contractor-grade products that fade or peel prematurely.
Q:How often do I need to repaint my home's exterior in South Florida?
South Florida's intense UV radiation, humidity, and salt air accelerate paint degradation. Most exterior paint jobs in our region last 5–7 years with proper preparation and premium products. Homes near the coast may need repainting more frequently due to salt air exposure. We can assess your current paint condition and give you an honest evaluation.
Q:What paint brands do you use?
We work with premium brands including Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Behr Ultra — products specifically formulated with advanced UV inhibitors, mildew-resistant agents, and humidity resistance appropriate for South Florida's demanding conditions. We do not cut costs by using lower-grade products.
Q:Do I need to be home during the painting service?
For exterior painting, you don't need to be home during the work — though we do recommend being available for a walkthrough at the start of the project. For interior painting, your presence preferences vary by the areas being painted. We'll discuss logistics during your quote consultation.
Q:How do I choose the right exterior color for my South Florida home?
Color selection for South Florida homes should consider heat reflectance (lighter colors keep homes cooler), neighborhood aesthetic guidelines, your home's architectural style, and personal preference. Our team can provide color consultation guidance and help you understand which palettes perform best in South Florida's tropical landscape and intense sunlight. We also recommend requesting a physical sample swatch before committing to a full color choice.
Scheduling & Operations
Q:How far in advance do I need to schedule service?
For recurring lawn care service, we can typically onboard new clients within 1–2 weeks. For painting, landscaping, and pressure cleaning projects, scheduling is typically 1–3 weeks out depending on our current workload and season. We prioritize urgent needs whenever possible.
Q:What happens if it rains on my scheduled service day?
Light rain doesn't typically prevent lawn mowing. Heavy rain, lightning, or severe weather will cause us to reschedule. For painting and pressure cleaning services, wet conditions require rescheduling. We contact clients proactively when weather requires schedule adjustments.
Q:Do I need to be home for lawn maintenance visits?
Generally no — most recurring lawn maintenance services can be completed without you being present, as long as we have access to the areas being serviced. For initial consultations and the first service visit, we recommend being available for a walkthrough.
